SHERMAN'S EPIC LAN '09

I would just personally like to congratulate everyone who participated in the EPIC LAN '09. The party was a great success with total people playing reached up to 15. A lot of us haven't gotten together like this since the good 'ol days of LAN parties and this one was just as epic. 8 TVs and even more Xbox 360s than we had room for. People where shot, fragged, ran over, and even team killed when you're trying to defuse the bomb for the win (you know who you are!)I had a great time and can't wait to have another one. I've included some pictures on the happenings. T-shirts are to be in on January 4th!

-Great times. I feel like someone punched my face repeatedly.. That's how you know it's good.

Call of Duty: Too Bad You Can't Play It 2

*If you don't want to read this beefy paragraph, I've included a 4 panel comic that pretty much sums it up.

So just the other day I went out and picked up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2. With all the hype and nearly my whole friends list playing, I thought I'd jump on that bandwagon and play along. I traded in a few games and used a gift card bringing my total to $.54! Pretty sweet right? Went back home as fast as I could and got a great parking spot out front. I was locked out of the room, but that was an easy fix. Get in the door, pop the game in, get into my first match and what should appear? Three little red lights that let you know your Xbox 360 just took a shit and died. 360s are notorious for doing this. This will be the second time that I have had to send my Xbox back in and hopefully it will be the last. This couldn't have come at a worse time too. I am stuck at ISU for most of the Thanksgiving break while I try to get some drawings done. No Xbox and my laptop is the new DVD player. Thanks a lot Microsoft!

Love Sac Baby!

The Love Sac is little old place where we can get together and it's at a discounted price! Got this bad boy off Craig and his list of goodies. This thing is HUGE! You can see it sitting next to my recliner and it's 2x the width and depending if it's fluffed or not, it's just about the same vertical! It was a real pain trying to pick it up, let alone get in through the door. Luckily I had a good friend with a minivan and time to kill. After we picked it up and got back to the dorms, we realized that it wasn't going to fit through to front doors easily. After blocking the entrance for a few minutes we finally got it inside and lucky for me, I live on the fourth floor. We had to temporarily close off the stairwell as we lugged this thing up to the top and jammed it through the door, up and over Jordan's (my roommate) bed and desk, and finally to the floor. Worth all the hassle? Totally! Check out the pictures and be amazed!

Nerf or Nothing

Last year for Halloween I bought myself a Nerf Recon CS-6 to go with my costume. Turns out I really didn't need it because I ended up making my own weapon. I just kept it around because I rarely had one for more than a week before it broke when I was little. I brought it to Iowa State again this year and to my surprise, it some how turned into a hallway sport. I've seen some crazy junk people have done with them (ie.: modifying, paint jobs, hall dens converted to workshops) so I decided to jump on that band wagon. Cut out an air restrictor here, slap on a little paint there, remove this and you get a pretty nerdy past time. Being a design major has it's perks. Check out the before and after picks.

He's just a boy!

This is the doom-omatic blog where you will read and read until your eyes bleed and your head 'splodes! Since I'm a busy scholar be patient as I may be a little slow on the update. Good times are to be had (and hopefully money to be made) on this blog!
